I’m excited to share some news that’s been close to my heart for a while now: I’m writing a memoir titled My Audubon Adventures - Spreading the Seeds of Environmental Stewardship. This book will be a journey through my life’s work, highlighting the moments, people, and projects that have shaped my commitment to environmental stewardship and community building.
In this memoir, I’ll take you behind the scenes of some of the most impactful initiatives I’ve been a part of, from my early days with a community beautification organization called Operation Community Pride in Henderson, Kentucky, to the founding of Audubon International. It’s a story of dedication, challenges, and triumphs, and I hope it will inspire others to take action in their own communities.
Writing this book has given me a chance to reflect on the many lessons I’ve learned along the way. I want to share the successes, obstacles, and learning experiences that have come with a career devoted to promoting sustainability and environmental awareness.
For me, this memoir is more than just a recounting of the past; it’s a way to pass on what I’ve learned to others who are passionate about making a difference. Whether you’re an environmentalist, a community leader, or simply someone who cares about the future of our planet, I believe there’s something in this book for you.
As I continue working on My Audubon Adventures, I look forward to sharing more updates and insights from the process. I hope you’ll join me on this journey as I prepare to release a book that’s been many years in the making. Stay tuned for more details as we visit with people who have played key roles in my career and re-visit places where work was accomplished over the past 4+ decades. Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to the release!
